We are a friendly Oxfordshire based archery club, numbering 30 or so members of all ages and abilities.
The club itself is over 50 years old, and is based at the Abbey Rugby Club in Emmer Green near Reading. We are lucky to have
a reasonably large shooting area (with fantasic views) although of course we do share the grounds with the rugby club. We shoot outdoors
in most weather, and we also run indoor shooting during the winter.
For new members we run beginners courses, usually around May, for which we charge a small amount.
Please note: Beginners' lessons will be held for 4 weeks from mid-May 2010. The dates are still to be decided but will be posted here in February 2010 along with contact details. We are unable to take any beginners before the lessons.
Although the club has no resident coaches (not uncommon!), there is a wealth of experience within the club, and of course we take safety very seriously.
Archery GB (previously Grand National Archery Society or 'GNAS') is the governing body for the sport of archery in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
